This may look like an ordinary lip balm tube - but it's not. Our new Sustainabalm is housed in a tube made partially from a mix of post-consumer plastic and potato bio resin. This means it is fully recyclable and meets our standards of quality while being good for the environment.
USA GROWN & HARVESTED.
The potatoes that make the bio-resin used in our lip balm tubes are grown right here in the U.S.A., in Idaho. These potatoes are used to make food products.
PURPOSEFUL UPCYCLING.
As potatoes are cut into chips, trench fries, and other potato food products, starch is released into the wash water. This waste potato starch is saved and used to create potato bio resin.
BETTER FOR THE PLANET.
The potato bio-resin is mixed with virgin plastic and recycled post-consumer plastic to make lip balm tubes that are 100% recyclable.
